The original NVIDIA Jetson series of AI Edge computers was released in 2019. Edge computing entails the real time processing of the data right at the source (camera for example). The original Jetson series has 4 different processor options starting at the the entry level NANO, followed by the faster TX2 and NX and ending at the top end AGX. They use an ARM processor for overall management and communications with the outside world and a combination of GPU processors to perform the AI edge processing.
NVIDIA has released the newer ORIN series in 2023. The ORIN series has a different setup of GPU processors giving substantially more processing power but the GPU setup of the original series still performs many specific tasks in an optional fashion and should not be discounted in general.
